HKAA’s Lower Elementary section begins in Grade 1 and continues through Grade 5. Our program provides a holistic education that nurtures the intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development of each child. Learning is play-based, theme-based, and intentionally designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and joy in the classroom.

Through differentiated instruction, teachers meet students where they are and support them as they grow in confidence, independence, and academic skill. Students are encouraged to explore, ask questions, collaborate with others, and develop a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Since all class subjects, except for Chinese classes, are taught by English-speaking teachers, enrolled students are expected to demonstrate an acceptable level of English proficiency. Chinese classes are taught in Putonghua by qualified, trained Chinese educators, with classes split into local and international levels of speaking proficiency.
