HKAA’s Upper Elementary section begins in Grade 6 and continues through Grade 8. At this stage, students engage in inquiry-based learning that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity. Lessons are designed to help students ask meaningful questions, investigate ideas, solve problems, and make connections across subjects.
Through a supportive learning environment, students continue to build academic confidence, independence, and responsibility as they prepare for the next stage of their educational journey.
Since all class subjects, except for Chinese classes, are taught by English speaking teachers, enrolled students are expected to be able to operate with an acceptable degree of English competency. Our school offers specialized English classes for students who meet academic standards but may need additional assistance with their English proficiency.
While HKAA is a private school it adheres to the local Hong Kong curriculum standards, while at the same time interjecting additional international standards in the subjects of English, Science, Social Studies, and Moral Education.
