35% HKAA Staff Partake in First Aid Training

Facilitated by Hong Kong Red Cross 35% of HKAA staff are partaking in the First Aid course.

HKAA leadership continues ensuring that HKAA is indeed a Safe Place to Grow.

A trained person is more reliable, confident, and in control of themselves when an emergency arises. People who are trained are more likely to take immediate action in an emergency situation.

What is First aid

First Aid training gives you the confidence to step in to help when an emergency occurs. The action you take by responding straight away, could save a life or prevent a person suffering permanent disability. Another benefit of having First Aid knowledge is being able to identify potential hazards.

First aid is an important tool in quickly responding to accidents to ensure that injuries can be efficiently and promptly dealt with before a trained medical professional arrives to administer more specialised treatment.

First aid in school environment

First aid in schools is especially helpful as children may get into accidents that need swift care in order to prevent things from escalating. Whether it’s a minor injury or something more serious like a fracture, preventing further complications is paramount. Ensuring there are trained first aiders within the school will help a school be a safer environment for everyone.
